When I see improvement I will update this review.
I definitely expected more but it seems like another example of corporations believing "build it and they will come". As for me, I will drive across town to avoid PetSmart since they do not seem to value customers or their pets.
Overall, it's a waste of time.
They don't sell my Carrot Crunchies (by Wild Harvest) anymore! D: The people are nice enough and the store -is- well stocked with what they do carry but.. I'm not overly impressed with the small animal section. Cute guinea pigs for sale though!!!
I got home and called the number for the store listed on Google and it was not a valid number. I ended up calling corporate and registering a formal complaint about what had happened. Was told that someone in the management chain would contact me within 48 hours. That has not happened in the 5 days since this event occurred.
EDIT: Nov 23:
We went into the store to inquire about having our corgi groomed, bathed, and to have his nails trimmed. We explained that he is not good about being handled and said we would bring him in with his muzzle. They said they don't need to muzzle him and have other techniques and it would not be a problem. We made an appointment and dropped him off. 2.5 hours later they called and said to pick him up. They bathed him and nothing else, saying he was trying to bite the tools, said "we dont muzzle Corgi's", and sent my wife on her way. No explanation, no referral, nothing. I understand they are covering their own butt most likely, but after everything we went through i would have just taken him to the vet for his nails. Now i have to wait another 2 weeks to get him into the vet. They could have handled this a lot better and actually told us what the hell the deal was. Thanks but no thanks, Petsmart
Terrible experience here on 8/3/17. Took my 10 year old dachshund in for a bath at 5:45 because I had read on PetSmart's website that "evening baths" were 25% off until 8/6/17. The grooming salon closes at 7:00 so I figured we had plenty of time for a walk-in appointment. We were met by an employee (we will call her "B" - first initial) who made no effort to welcome us into the salon. Was disinterested at best. She said the coupon expires at 6 (salon closes at 7?) and that I would need to make an appointment. There were 2 other employees working on a larger dog and no other dogs waiting. It definitely seemed that "clocking out" was a priority more than explaining why a simple bath could not be accomplished in the next 1.25 hours. The total lack of concern that B exhibited and lack of engagement with the process was very frustrating.
Groomers and salon experience was great! Will be back again. Updated...the stylists cut my dog and did not admitt to it. Took her to the Vet and PetSmart manager handled it professionally and was very courteous! Even a follow-up call to check on her.
I love the groomers at PetSmart in Hendersonville, NC! It's hard to find a groomer for large breed dogs. My Great Pyrenees is always welcomed and treated so sweetly here. She always comes out looking like a queen and smells so good! The prices are incredibly affordable compared to the fancy "small" dog groomers who always charge a fortune.
I've been here several times lately, and while their service is pretty good, and they have gotten in some more small animal stock, I'm not happy with their selection. They fail constantly to have wheels to meet the needs of the animals they sell (aka syrian hamster sized wheels) . They have very few brands if food, what they have I consider low-quality and cheap. Their treats are depressingly unprevalant, and the toys are ridiculously overpriced, as is their cages. At least the bedding is decently priced- but sand is cheaper at Home Depot for 3.50 for 50 lbs..
