I frequent Ace Hardware several times a month. Ace is conveniently located and I always get personal service. It never fails when I walk into the store an employee is asking if they can assist me. I have never received this type of service from a big box store. I would like to give a specific shout out to Eddie. Eddie seems to be the gentleman who always asks if he can help and he always has the answer and can go right to the product I am in need of. Carolina Ace is a great place for ladies who don't always know the screw, bolt or other items we need to do a repair. I have always been satisfied when I leave! Thank you Ace Hardware for making my shopping experience easy!
They are always very helpful. Most of the time I am able to find items I can't find at other places.
I was just at this store. Got my purchases and was being waited on by the cashier. All of a sudden the cashier is having a private conversation with another employee--I heard something like "I need to get my purse." I had to tell her to hold up on the sale so I could get my coupon out. As I reached for my ACE reward card, she walked away--leaving me standing there wondering what I should do. As there were others waiting to check out, I decided to insert my credit card. She returned at the end of the sale. I told her that I needed to have my rewards card scanned for the sale, she replied "too late." I replied "So because you walked away from me while the sale was going on, I don't get my points?" She replied "You can go on line." Another person said he had not had the best service from this same employee.
Store is great. Good selection. Helpful workers. The bottleneck is the cashiers. Very, very slow. And couldn't care less. Fix it and I'll give more stars.
